First off, Welcome to the forum Low!!! You have a Louisiana name (Dupree), you from down here? i am glad we have another member from the South now. I think there is another member from the Carolina's (Barefoot I think)

Great first image, digging the sun rays.

The only nitpick I have with it is that I feel to horizon & boat are too low to the bottom of the image.

Nice start Steve. That is certainly a dramatic sky.

AT's observation about the position of the boat at the bottom doesn't bother me, because to me the shot is a about the sky and the placement (although not traditional) is fine to give the shot some context.

I am looking forward to seeing some more of your work

Another big welcome here also Lowcountry, and what a way to start. Beautiful sky and some serious detail on the foreground also. Very nicely done.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Great control of light to get those rays of light so clear!

Welcome to the forum and a lovely image to be sure. It's hard to capture such an awesome sky so well. Nicely done.
