Courthouse Rock, focus stacked

    Default Courthouse Rock, focus stacked

    Well I have never done this before, but so what? One should really use a tripod when doing a photo stack, I suppose, and one should have more than one image to stack as well. Lazy me just did it free hand, and focused on the foreground (tree) once, then on the background (Courthouse Rock). With a little masking and playing around, this is what I got:

    Another arrow in the quiver Matt. It is cool to try new techniques and it works well. Nice framing too.

    Now what about a several exposure HDR, focus stacked panorama? Now THAT would be cool.

    I think in this case with a decent distance between the rock face and the tree, a couple of images is probably sufficient anyhow.
