    Default Under the Milky Way

I've been waiting all winter to get out there and get some more shots of the Milky Way with my new lens, the Bower (Samyang/Rokinon) 14mm F/2.8. I had to wait until after midnight to get these (until the MW was high enough in the sky) but it was worth it. All shot with a Canon 6D.

This is a GREAT set Mike....Love the composition in them, especially with the rushing water. I particularly like the reflections in the other ones too. Hoping its clear this weekend so I can get out and do some stars and if the conditions are right, perhaps some Northern Lights....although the moon with be getting towards fullness and later by the weekend. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a lot everyone. Yes, Rantitola, it seems like there is always a small window of time to gather these Milky Way image. Basically summer months, little to no moon, clear sky and time in your schedule to make it happen. That why even though I was working 10:00-22:00 days, I still pushed my self to get out there between midnight and 2:00 to make it happen.
RB, thanks so much for the nomination. You should be able to right click and "copy the URL" and then paste that in as you would when you post your own pic.

What everyone else said... the stars in the sky are so freakin' awesome... excellent night photos.
