    Default Sheep River Falls

I need to get up earlier in the day. This way I would have the sun where it should be, illuminating the subject. Getting up late only brings problems: namely lens flare when working against the sun. And exposure problems, since one deals with bright white snow and deep shadows. Oh well.

Although I like this image the exposure needs help due to the brightness range - I agree with your instinct Matt.K. - waiting for better light would have made this sing even louder.
(For me, waiting and returning to the scene are both part of 'the work' )

I agree, Marko. As I said: i have to get up early in order to shoot this. The river runs to the East, and thus the sun will shine into the East in the afternoon/evening. Just need to set the alarm, or wait for an overcast day, which is most likely the best solution.

I think it's a great photo, yes on the bottom left is a little overexposed, but still a great capture

You did very well considering the lighting Matt.
Looks like a scene just aching for a night shoot, imo.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
