Corsica is really a spectacular place, after being in Sicily and Sardinia could not miss the third largest island near Italy.
Reachable in six / seven hours by boat Corsica has a beautiful beach with warm, clear waters, nothing to envy to my beloved Sardinia, and is definitely a good compromise between journey and costs.
