    Default Flooding

We've been having a real wet streak to get us ready for the spring. The tornado's that came through here last week left us with a LOT of rain and consequently flooding. The rivers have been cresting their banks and shutting the roads down. Fortunately, Toledo has planned around floodplains really well compared to the rest of the world so nobody is really too impacted by this.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

over 10ft higher than normal river levels for this time of the season. I should have taken some pictures of the rapids area of the river. It is not even noticeable. The river is so high, its completely flat and the rapids are completely buried under the water.

That's the sort of flooding we need here to relieve our drought. Our Cyclone pulled a U-Turn and then faded. We haven't even received much rain from it. Disappointing really.

    Some interesting snaps there JJ!

Well, everything is still flooded here. After a short walk in the woods I ran into this road. Had to pull the car behind the sign and take a few pictures. I think I like these better than the others. I know this is the show forum, but I would like some feedback on these as well. Thanks again everyone.

I went back to the places that were flooded to show you the contrast between normal water levels and what it was like during the flood.

The last picture is the road with the Park Ranger. Just thought I would show the amount of dirt that was deposited onto the road.
