Default Finniss River - which one?

I went for a drive yesterday hoping to find some photo opportunities. The weather changed on me, and I hardly got out of the car, let alone take many photos.

This is a quick one I got of a river from a low bridge where the road crossed over. It isnt a masterpiece but I still processed it 2 ways .

    Which do you prefer?

I vote for the color version. The reflections in the water just do not translate in the black and white. That gorgeous dark green by the river bank is the bomb.

    Not for me - lol.
Love the BW - it sings but it could still sing louder with more pp work particularly dodging a bit in the water to see more reflection details - and burning in all over the blacks by 10-25%. - I see no deep blacks on my monitor.
More contrast overall is needed unless current mood is intended. The image has a timeless feel - Beautiful comp. Well seen

One each way. At least my inability to decide has been vindicated.

    Thanks MB & Marko

Marko, I did a quick re-edit based on your suggestions, and (as is normally the case) I prefer the rework. Thank you.
