Cool ... nice and rugged. It feels cold too ... nice job.

Thanks Mad Aussie. It IS a cold place for sure, but it's a beautiful, rugged landscape. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Fortress of Louisbourg. It's where early French soldiers and settlers scraped out a living on the sea and fought to preserve the French presence in early Canada. Major land and sea battles were fought just over the horizon to the right. There's a trunk full of wonderful stories of shipwrecks that took place along these very shores. Quite a few dollars in gold and silver discovered too.
Cool. A story like that adds depth to the image. Always cool to hear history associated with a photo because, here in Aussie, history is short and boring by comparison to most other countries![]()
Funny thing you mention history. One of my hobbies is historical re-enacting. The unit I portray is the 40th Regiment of Foot of 1744 here in Nova Scotia. They eventually wound up in Australia . . . ! We've got a LOT of history here in Nova Scotia and some say a connection to the Knights Templar. Interesting stuff for sure. So much to learn . . . so little time.
Very nice image indeed!!!![]()
