    Default Blooming Boganvillia & Jacaranda

On Sat morning I was on a long road ride that took us out to a town in the countryside not too far from where I live. Along the ride I saw things I wanted to photograph. Some I'd sworn many times to shoot and others grabbed me that morning.
So this morning I decided to take a quick drive out and see if I could get some nice shots before the predicted few days of rain started. The skies were already getting that dull, grey look we photographers hate so much

    Here's a Boganvillia vine with a Jacaranda backdrop ...

    Thanks Casil.
It's not an HDR though. I did take a set for that purpose but it didn't work at all.

It does ... but it's from the dodging and burning I did to enhance the clouds and open up the blooms a bit.

Very pretty. I like number one quite a bit. Number 2 has such promise the way the red flowers lead your eye up the tree but doesn't quite get me there. And I like number 3 just for the colour explosion. Cool shots, MA.

I'd love to see these in person. The colors are so beautiful against the dark sky. I bet the fragrance in the air on a humid day is just amazing.
