    Default optical echo

i got some very strange looks while composing this shot... it was off to one side of a path through the woods in a botanical garden, and the woods were mostly in shade. i walked around the fern several times, looking for the right angle, then crouched and waited for the right light as the sun peeked through the moving tree branches overhead.. a few people passed me on the path while i was waiting, and gave me some rather queer looks as if to say, "what IS that kook doing squatting there watching a fern?" but i liked the result... a sort of "optical echo" highlighted against the shadows...

I agree, this is very cool. I love the simplicity of composition and the textures here!
