    I prefer shot 2, though both images are suffering from a lack of sharp focus.

    I like shot 2 as well. I wonder if it looks like a soft focus because of the ice covering the wood?

    For me it's shot 2 as well. And I agree, I find myself looking for a nice sharp bit in the photo. Especially in parts of the ice, I'd like to see some real sharpness. But I recon if you print this not too big, It'll be just fine. But hey, we can be pixelpeepers...

    I like 2 as well. Thanks for the input I should have time to re-shoot before the weather turns warm again.
