The sunrise is a beautiful example of a minimalist photo.

Love that amazing ice forming in #6 and that winter wonderland shot is just jam packed with interest for me, and well taken. Nice.

The nice part of this was Greg and I were after different things...in different parts of the falls..I was in more of close up ice formation mood but got a few shots of the falls:

I had my white balance in the wrong setting in the beginning among other things....d'oh!
Everything came out with this blue cast I can't seem to get rid of.

Sometimes a blue cast can work though ... especially in shadows with ice and snow.

If you are shooting RAW then having the wrong WB setting isn't an issue ... you just change it in post, most RAW editing programs have a white balance setting that allows you to set it right.

I used raw for these and am using lightroom in post so I have been using auto white balance to let lightroom change it and if I don't like it I change it back. RAW is new to me just this week I started working with it. I am forcing myslef (kicking and screaming I might add) to learn RAW.

Btw, I edited post 3 replacing it with a different shot...Is it any better or am I still missing something? It seems my focus was really off this morning as well...thank goodness it got better!
