    Thanks...Before he acquired the little canon, I would always see him with binoculars, he never mentioned cameras or photography. Turns out he has a wealth of photographic knowledge shooting film for many years, both large and medium format. he said I'd understand the need for a small camera when I got to be his age Just a gem of a man with a wealth of knowledge going well beyond photography. If he's up for it, I'll try for a portrait or two in the future.

    Wow...would love to meet someone like that...how fortunate you are...and such neat shots of the Dr. Seuss lichen.
    I got that name from Greg a while back when I captured some....he said they reminded him of "Horton Hears a Who".

    I mentioned that I thought they bore a resemblance to the antenna on Shrek's head
