Reminds me of the movie Capricorn1. It's much more along the conspiracy theory bent of mind. Nice capture with the minimalist shdowing of the hills and shore line. The hint of reflection in the water is very cool as well. Even without the helicopters it would be an excellent minimalist landscape. Very nice work, Michael!

Thanks...It felt very much like "Apocalypse Now" when I took the shot but in reality was just our Olympic security force at work

All I could hear in my head when I saw it was the Ride of the Valkyries

    Great shot.

That set off the oddest thought. A couple of years ago, I picked up a book called "Circumpolar!" It's a sci-fi tale set in an alternate universe, where Earth is shaped like a torus (basically a donut. The sun's path is a spiral.), and the race is on between 2 teams (German and American) to get to the other side of the torus.

Among other things, the other side has a civilization strongly reminiscent of Mu, and a secret underground installation with Valkyrie patrols that ride nuclear powered pegasi. The exhaust is under the tail, and it glows.

The story is every bit as odd as it sounds. (Okay, I'll go take my meds now)
