Found this in our front garden, didn't notice it last year - anyone have a clue as to what it is?

Not a clue! I do really like the colours in this image though. Great stuff.
Thanks Iggy - I'm impressed with the colours as well, that's why I would like to identify this plant. Most likely have to wait until it develops further.

I'm sure one of the other members will know. We have some very knowledgeable people on the forum when it comes to this sort of thing.

Could you get another pic with the whole thing from the side and with the stalk/leaf also in focus? Have an idea on what it is, but want to be sure.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
