Default Test shot with new 50mm f1.8

Picked up a nikkor AFS 50mm f1.8 D (only the auto focus doesn't work on my D5000) about an hour ago and just couldn't resist seeing what it could do and what kind of bokeh I could manage

You're about to have all kinds of fun. I challenge you to put that lens on your camera and just leave it there and go shootin' for the day. You'll love it. The trick to remember is that just because you can go f1.8 you don't always need to

I like your challenge - just might get a chance this weekend.

    Thanks JAS.

My goal with this shot was to see at what distance from the point of focus, that the bokeh starts - in this case less than 3 inches. Only tweaked slightly in Lr 3 Beta 2, no PS post such as Orton here, this is just the lens.
