    Default Wet and Wild.......coast

Just returned home from exploring in our Zodiac off the coast of Tofino. I would love any comments/critiques on my attempt to capture the wild coast. I do not have a polarizing filter...would that have helped? I feel both could also use better processing.

I like them both but I like number 2 more -

You have certainly captured the wildness of the ocean.

I like the colour and contras of the 2nd image and the landscape orientation. It could probably use a bit more sky(but not too much) as if feels a little "tight" for me.

The first feels either too close, or not zoomed in enough, I can't decide. The colour and contrast seem a bit dull, but then again it looks like that kind of day/scene.

To answer your question re polarizing filter, I don't think it would have done much as there is not much sun and a polarizing filter is used to cut glare/reflection or maybe increase your shutter times if that is the effect you are after.

Both are wonderful shots - I LOVE Tofino - been there 2x.

All shot 1 needs is a boost in contrast using levels or curves and it will pop in the same way as shot 2.

    Kat,
Have you been to Tofino before? You will love it...if you need an assistant to hold the umbrella while you "shoot" let me know
