    Default Shooting Star

Found this Shooting Star amongst a number of spring flowers while on a day trip with my buddy Greg. In the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, along the Highwood Pass, there is a little place called Fir Creek. The meadows are southern exposure, so they are starting to show the best signs of spring. This image was taken with my Sigma 150mm macro lens, free hand (did not want to bother Greg into lending me his tripod ... AGAIN!)

That's beautiful. Welcome to the forums and thanks for sharing. I know that area around the Highwood Pass a little bit and it is great for hiking and photography.

Existence has no goal. It is pure journey. The journey in life is so beautiful, who bothers for the destination. B. Rajneesh

Thank you, Mike. I promise I will show up in the forum more often ... and along the Highwood Pass as well.

Very nice, especially freehand, and the bokeh is wonderfully smooth. Good job Matt.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
