I do like the treatment in both of these and I really like the comp on the 2nd one. The whole scene looks somewhat more hospitable now. I'm with MA in the preference for the winter shots. Not for technical reasons though, just the scene.

I like the first.I am wondering if you might be able to go out on a windy day and do a very slow exposure at a low level to get those waves of grasses looking all soft and wavy. Not that I think it would be a better shot but it might just be an interesting experiment a la Darwin Wigget from podcast #77.
