Nice catch WDI just love getting shots of these guys but last year I only saw a couple. The previous year they were all over the place, I'm hoping for more this year

Nicely done, WD. I don't often see snakes at all around here but I think it's mostly because I'm not looking in the right place. You captured this one well, I like it.

Thanks everyone. I had hopes it would taste the air so I could get a shot of that flickery little tounge, but alas. Oh and upon further reflection I think this is a ribbon snake not a garter snake, similar, but differently colored. Maybe with luck I'll see other varieties besides those two.
