I think it is a fantastic shot. I like it just the way it is. Maybe the lights are a bit too bright, but so what? Love the way the cobble stone leads to the back of the image, and the faint wall at the end. Really dig the mood here, and the feeling of "midnight". Being that, why should there be anyone on the street ('bring out your dead' does not work here, methinks). Has a little bit of "the rain just stopped" feeling to it as well. Marko, this is a great shot, bravo!

Ha, Ha, Matt. First thought in my head was "Python" also, when thinking of a person being in the scene. Agree also in that this shot needs no "being" within it.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Really think this photo is well done, very dramatic.

If you look closely, you can can see hints of things in that dark area at the back of the image (windows of an old run down building?). So for me, the lines up the cobblestones do lead you somewhere, not just to darkness. You just don't quite know what's there, so it's wonderfully eerie and dramatic!

Like overall mood here, color and texture. About lanterns light I can say it is only one solution.HDR approach. But I like how it is because if we go down with intensity of light then
we will lose glow and image definitely will not have the same effect.

Line of lights and reflections on the cobbles are wonderful.

My monitor is calibrated, so it is darker than what the average user has it set to (so when I do a print the output matches more with what you see on the monitor). That's why I see mostly blackness in the background. When I view it on a brighter monitor I can now see the hints of things in that dark area, just enough to see know that there is something there but still dark enough to be mysterious. I therefore take back my comment.

I like it the way it is. The brightness of the lanterns illuminate the cobble stones giving it structure.

This is my favorite of all your latest posts. Very simple composition with great sharpness, interesting exposure and very interesting lines. It made me wonder what it would look like in daylight, since there is the color cast from the lamps.
