    Default Mortlock Library

I have been wanting to shoot this library for a while now, but never quite made it until today. I felt rather conspicuous in this very quiet space. This is handheld, and I must go back someday with a tripod and hopefully get to the top floor (it was closed off today). The mixed light was a real challenge too.

Thanks Marko & Mad Aussie. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. The room is pretty dark and the colours quite rich, so I decided to use HDR to really bring out the colour.

I too like the colours that the HDR has brought out. Well done HDR processing, just enough to bring out the colours but not over the top.

Handheld HDR is not something I would dare. This is excellent and very sharp. I like the way the colors are saturated and the shadows very light and clear. The composition is excellent too. It's the kind of shot I would have tried in black and white too.

Thansk Yiseaq, JAS asnow & Mbrager.

Mbrager, I did have a quick play with B & W but didnt like what I was getting. I should go back and have another look

JAS it is part of our state library and I will confess to not having been inside until about a year or so ago. In fact I dont think it was open for general public use for quite a while. Ever since I saw it I have been meaning to go back and shoot it.
