I hear you. A 50mm 1.8 Z mount lens will set you back $600 and that is the least expensive of the three lens introduced. I'm a long time Nikon fan, but I felt insulted. If you listen to the language used in the official announcement you might get the impression that the F mount's days are numbered. Dare I say that there will be a D6, but we may never see a D7? They sound confident that this is the future of the company. I'm of the opinion that the DSLR won't be with us beyond 2024, if progress in the mirrorless realm continues at its current rate.
