The exposure and colours are nice here but the composition isn't working for me I'm afraid.

If this were mine, i would have tried to put the carriage in the midground, it's way too far way imo but yet we notice it's there.
The dog becomes the focal point and is the shot about the dog? I think the intent was the connection of the dog with the carriage in the winter... But Given the distance between the intended focal points i don't feel the 'tie in'.

In addition the dog is a nice touch but there is no 'connection' with the dog (and you are likely using a good part of your attention and focusing skills to track the dog) so likely i would have not even have included the dog.
I would likely have made the carriage the focal point and kept some foreground snow with the lines as interest.
Hope that may help and just my 2 cents.

I love the odd composition, but i understand how it's not for everyone.

I have to agree with Marko's assessment on this one. I'm sure the dog is important to you, but to a viewer like me, it's a dog walking. Not much interest there. The Horse and Carriage is by far the point of interest.

The whole sloping thing to the left doesn't appeal to me. I personally think if you are going to do something out of the ordinary than do it big. If you are going to crop someone's head off, then CROP someone's head off. You did that to great effect with your 'Smile' photo of the baby. So I think if you are going to leave a photo tilted then tilt it much more. Make it look like it was meant to be, not just an oversight.

The photo feels a bit soft to me also. Could do with some sharpening. The text actually makes that more obvious.

Excellent exposure on the snow here though! Especially with all those different shades.
