This is a discussion on The Red Staircase within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; ...
I like it. I'd like to see a little more of the staircase on the RH side of the image, and would suggest a levels/curves tweak and saturation increase to deepen the red esp. on the RH handrail and stringer.
I agree with tirediron. I would like to have seen a little more of the staircase. The lighting looks a little harsh the day you took it, maybe you can go back on a cloudy day where the light is diffused a little more? The lighting in the upper part of the staircase is great in the shadows so I think another effort with this would help. This is a good shot, but the lighting is not working for it. You recognized the potential here, which is what counts. Hopefully you can get a second chance at this fella.

Yup I agree. very cool lines but the saturation on the red staircase needs a big boost and evening out.

Thanks for comments. This building is close to where I work so when the weather is not minus 30 with windchill again, I will go back.
I really hope you guys are talking about this temperature in celsius and not farenheit. In either case, its relatively warm here, supposed to be 49F here tomorrow!
