Focal plane is a little too shallow for me here, MM. A bit distracting to have out-of-focus areas both in front of and behind the subject.

I love the detail in the shell. I don't mind the shallow DOF. Maybe it is some sort of distortion field caused by the speed of this little fellow![]()

I also must agree the tail end should be as clear as the rest of the snail. I think a minor change in the angle and you could have used that DOF but right now I am finding the tail just to irritating to look at.
