The clouds are by far the most interesting part of this shot, however, the clouds by themselves are not enough to hold my attention. An interesting foreground element would have made a much stronger impression. My preference is also for the colour version.

I would love to see this shot from a lower perspective, closer to the ground with the trees lower in the image and more of the clouds. If you lost the field at the bottom, I think it would bring the trees closer, making it an interesting "foreground". But thumbs up on the clouds, I'm a sucker for awesome clouds!

    I agree with these critiques.
The clouds are exciting to look at with their dramatic tones but everything else in the picture looks greyish. There is nothing going on in the foreground to add interest to this image. Hope that helps - Marko

I like your edit F8 - maybe 'slightly' more tree on the bottom...but I like.

I agree with Marko, just a tad more trees and it should help ground the image, making it feel less 'floaty' if that's even a word.

I hope I am not too presumptious as to give this a whirl. Giving my Topaz Adjust a go at this and it is admitedly extreme but it definitely 'pops'.

I like F8's rendition. I agree a little more tree.
Raven's is nice but it is little to surreal my taste.

My mistake has been seeking new landscapes. I should have been seeking new light.
