Ok, you can look. It's just you've been complaining about all the spring flowers and I didn't want to offend you. This shot is about as near to perfection as I've ever achieved I think and so I need to know what, if anything, I'm missing. The only post I've done is a touch of curves and a bit of unsharp mask, a crop and a border. The version SOOC looks pretty good to my eye too so have at it. Rip it apart!

    Wonderful shot Iggy

Very very little I'd do here. I might up the highlights on curves or levels by 5%, and I'd likely crop an inch or 2 off the top.....but this is very well done. I'd say it's in your top 5 iggy

Man ... you make one little comment about being amused by Canadians and their obsession with spring and it gets twisted around to I hate flowers

I defy you to find a post of mine that is complaining about flowers

It is a good shot Iggy!

So little to critique at all. The only tiny thing I might suggest is the flowers could do with a bit more room below them in this crop. But that's a personal preference. Really well done.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the comments. I found a new "feature" today. Manual focus. I had come to rely on the automatic focus and the darn focus points, however, with manual focus I think I can do better than the camera. Here's the original, unprocessed (well, converted to JPG from RAW) shot.

Only teasing I'm generally not particularly creative with the snappy comebacks but had to say something about it after spending most of the morning shooting flowers.

I would have posted this straight into the "Show your flowers" thread Iggy. Nice capture indeed

Thanks, Michael. I guess I was wondering what else I could have done better and from everyone's very nice comments I feel that my instinct was correct, it could be tweaked but generally a good image.
