I've never done the water drop thing, but I have to admit I intend to sometime as I imagine it to be challenging to get a good one, and would be a good learning experience. If we all stopped doing shots we've seen before, what would most of us shoot?

Default Done to death - not

Flowers, water drops, children - are like snowflakes. They never repeat and every one is beautiful.

I find many things shot to death, but you have to photograph something and many of the things that are overdone are overdone just because they are handy and easily accessible. I also think when many people first get into photography they just want to click away hence shoot anything, close, handy and cooperative.

I agree, great learning tool and I know we post them to say "look at my great results shooting a water droplet!" I'm just tired of looking at them. I go to flicker sites where they have no limit on daily uploads and Billy has uploaded eighty shots of water droplet experiments? I'm thinking,"couldn't Billy have picked say the two best shots? The other thing I'm going to say is done to death is pregnant bellies.... If it's my woman's belly that's great, I have an emotional attachment to it, my child cooking, I made this and it would be beautiful to ME! I just grow tired of seeing pregnant bellies and there are millions of them posted. Maybe I'm over the top here, maybe there are people who click on the PB shots and continually Marvell over the miracle of life in creation over and over and over? I say great to the photographer...Print it, frame it for the miracle it is to you, I just don't need to see anymore. I mean where are the shots of the end of life like "My uncles tumor"?

    PS...Could be I need a vacation desperately
