Default Dance Recital - Its gotta be the hardest thing I have ever shot!!!!

I took it upon myself to shoot as many shots as I could to let parents download the image off my Flickr. Like someone said, it is like "Herding Cats". Just like my Daughtry images, these are cropped and noise reduced to hell. I have 99 processed. I still have about 50 more of my daughters and friends' daughters.

Here is the link to the set on Flickr Flickr Dance Recital

These are as good as it gets, in my opinion. I've been at dance competitions where there was a professional photographer shooting with equipment similar to yours (70-200 f2.8 lens) and the photos were instantly uploaded to a website for viewing and purchasing at the venue by everyone in attendance. Yours are as good as those. You took good advantage of the stage lights and caught the dancers in good compositions. I like the blurred backgrounds in many of the shots that make the dancers stand out. You could easily charge for your work, although as a parent I understand why you don't. It keeps it simple and fun that way.

That little girl in the last image posted is 13 years old and is the most amazing dancer (the star of the school). She will end up at some great dance school (Juilliard or something).

I'll chime in and say you've done an excellent job as well. Having shot the DalDance Society Recital recently I feel your pain when it comes to lighting conditions. I did have the advantage of being able to move about but even with my 50mm at f2.0, trying to get enough light and enough shutter speed to get decent images was challenging indeed.
