Default Aussie hunk for the girls

Here ya go girls ... just for you

Been very busy this month with various things including a couple of large sporting events we shoot. This shot is one from a 9 hour multi-sport event we shot this weekend ... the event was basically an 800m swim, 8km run, 800m swim again, 13 km kayak, 26 km mountain bike, 4km run (up a small mountain), 26 km mountain bike again, 9km kayak, and a 4 km run to finish off. Tough people!

I was looking at the swim photos today and noticed this one. I almost sent you a note. The only thing that would have made it better was if his eyes were open.

Lots of other good shots there too.

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Thanks people. It was an incredibly difficult shoot with the event being over a large area. Lots of driving to locations to get the different sports. The hardest thing was the light. So harsh. The day was very hot at around 30 C (hot to be standing in it all day anyhow) and so many shadows. Fill flash was simply a must. When the flash didn't fire, the photo was tossed most often.

I'm pretty sure there was some drool on my part.

It's a great capture, MA! (For more than one reason, ha)

I didn't know it when I posted this photo but this guy was the overall solo winner of the event. His name is Bryn and he smashed the race record by some 33 mins I think they said.
