Thoes are some really nice pictures. It's not to often that you'll catch a moose or anything here in Nova Scotia though. Beavers maybe, and plenty of deer...lol.

thanks nikki - the moose i caught in northern ontario while on a road trip across most of canada (northern ab - southern ont). the others are from up here in northern alberta.

heres another shot i have, just took it a couple weeks ago when we stumbled across this guy (or rather, he stumbled across the road in front of us, and posed nicely in the ditch for a second, so i could snap this fuzzy shot)

I like the animal shots Kiley but you probably already know that the eyes aren't sharp in most of them....The owl looks VERY cool but needs more contrast and there is something wonky going on in the background.

That is an excellent fireworks shot FusionFoto

I feel bad that I haven't uploaded anything yet....maybe this weekend?

    Thx

I'll put forth an offering with perhaps a slightly different take on patriotism...

This is the Canadian destroyer HMCS Iriquois in Mediterranean, enroute the Persian Gulf in May of this year.

This image shows the Canadian destroyer HMCS Iriquois leading Nato Fleet STANAVFORMED (Standing Naval Force Mediterranean) with Canadian frigate HMCS Calgary astern.

Edited to add: Apologies for the image size, however due to bandwidth and other Internet access restrictions, I'm not able to re-size them. If this is a problem, I'll happly convert them to links.

Thanks. I was a little pi$$ed about the blown water along the side of the ship, but not much I could do about that.

I like your choices tirediron and no problem on the size - each image needs to be less than 150k that's all, and both shots are.

Bahandi i also like this image but the whole image could use some more contrast.

    Thx

Thanks Marko. I'm still struggling in getting to know my camera better. On top of that, my monitor is not calibrated and all the pictures on my screen are so much darker than what I see on my camera's lcd.

As for PP, I can never tell when enough is enough, so I pretty much used the camera's setting to desaturate(sp?) and used photobucket's sharpen option on it.

    Care for the original?
