Having previously lived in a bushfire (wildffire) region and having seen the damage they cause, it is tragic to see this .

Are the penalties in Canada very tough for deliberately lighting wildfires? Over here penalities have recently been increased (up to life imprisonment in some cases for arson - or even 20 years for "Intending to cause or recklessly indifferent as to causing a bushfire")

I used to live in Thunder Bay and travelled the entire northwest for work - saw way to much of this.

What a shame. It's bad enough having fires from lightning or people just being careless. It's unbelievable that people would actually deliberately set a fire. I hope our laws are tough on those that would do this.
