    Cool....we have arbutus on the west coast that do pretty much the same thing!
    Ours shed brownish bark and underneath is this Beautiful green colour!

    That first one ..it's HDR right? If so well done. I find if I have a high aperture it makes HDR come out bad sometimes! (the leaves at the beginning of the photo)

    Thanks everyone.
    Yes Kat the 1st is an HDR.
    They do make a lot of mess too.
    The back is really soft. You can push your finger right into it. It feels spongy.

    You'll have to show me this tree sometime Casil! Sounds very interesting.
